Problem accessng ArenaNet - Guild Wars Forums

Okay, so today I picked up the game and the preorder package, and for the last couple hours have been futilely trying to get them installed. When I try to install the client, it seems to download, but when the screen comes up saying "Connecting to ArenaNet" and gives the progress, it sticks on 0%.

Pretty much the same with installing the game itself. I hit Install, it brings up the grey screen that says "Connecting to ArenaNet" and the progress bar goes for a bit, then stops (about 90%-ish of the way).

Is the reason that I'm unable to install or even access anything because the devs are still monkeying around with getting things up and running? IE, will this problem theoretically disappear the closer I get to early access time (which I should have access to).

hrm... i just did it.. and it worked fine... what kind of internet you using? your firewall might be too strict and you might need to lower its security.. or something... just some ideas

God, too obvious, lol. My brain must be fried. Turned down my firewall, deleted the old client, and it looks to be reinstalling fine now.

Got the client reinstalled, logged in, and got my key input and everything.

Proceeded to installing the game itself, installed disc one no problem. Disc two threw me a "This disc might be corrupted" message, but I got that sorted out and installed it.

Looks like I'm in business. Shiroi, I totally owe you a beer. I'm glad one of us was thinking, lol
